Meet Marwati Karyono

In early 2022, Marwati joined the team at Orthotic House Hastings after registering with the National Body – NZOPA.

As a skilled orthotist, she is responsible for assessing and fitting patients with custom orthotic devices to improve mobility and alleviate discomfort. Her role also involves working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Marwati completed her training at the Jakarta School of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Indonesia and graduated in 2012. Since graduating, she has worked in Jakarta, Bali, Malaysia and Melbourne in the prosthetics, orthotics and podiatry industries.

She is passionate about human biomechanics, paediatric foot and ankle rehabilitation, and spinal rehabilitation. Aside from this, Marwati enjoys assisting patients in improving their abilities and independence by using orthoses.

Outside of work, she enjoys tramping and hiking the mountains, running, camping or spending quiet time watching movies.
