Meet Zoey Hoosen

Orthotist

As a recent arrival to New Zealand, I bring a wealth of expertise in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics. I obtained my master’s degree from the prestigious Indian Spinal Injuries Center in 2020 and am registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India. I am currently in the process of becoming registered with the NZ Orthotics and Prosthetics Association – NZOPA.

My focus within the field of orthotics lies in lower limb orthotics, with a particular interest in pediatric orthotics. Additionally, I have a passion for clinical research and evidence-based practices. In fact, I have had the privilege of having two research publications accepted by the esteemed International Society of Prosthetics & Orthotics.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy a range of hobbies and activities. Baking, calligraphy, sampling new cuisines, going for walks, and exploring the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand are just a few of the ways I like to spend my free time.

With my depth of knowledge and dedication to staying at the forefront of my field, I am confident in my ability to make a positive impact in the world of Prosthetics and Orthotics here in New Zealand.
