Meet Zoey Hoosen

Orthotist

After graduating as an orthotist in 2017, Zoey Hoosen began working in the South African public healthcare system. As a result, she gained valuable experience working with a diverse patient population and a variety of orthotic needs.

After making the exciting move to New Zealand in 2023, she joined the dedicated team at Orthotic House.

Over the years, Zoey has developed a strong professional interest in paediatric orthotics. “I find it incredibly rewarding to support children and their families through their unique journeys, improving mobility, function, and overall quality of life. I’m particularly passionate about combining clinical care with innovation—staying up-to-date with advances in materials, design, and digital technologies that enhance the effectiveness, comfort, and appearance of orthotic devices.”

Dedicated to continuing education and development in order to provide patients with the best possible care, Zoey enjoys working with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to find the best solutions for each individual patient.

In addition to her work, she enjoys exploring New Zealand’s natural beauty with her partner. Whether they are hiking new trails, camping, or simply enjoying the outdoors, they enjoy exploring all that this wonderful country has to offer.
